AEP Capital LLC is a private equity firm founded by Richard Goldstein and Bruce Greenwald, who along with Oded Aboodi, created Alpine Capital, a boutique investment firm engaged in specialized advisory assignments and private equity.
Since 1990, Alpine Capital engaged in senior level advisory work on complex transactions to various clients, primarily in the media and entertainment sectors, including Time Warner, Saban Entertainment, New Jersey Nets, and Itochu Corporation. In 1996, Alpine Capital launched Alpine Equity Partners, an opportunistic private equity investment vehicle. Notable transactions included the purchase of the Daily Racing Form (leading thoroughbred racing publication), ProSiebenSat.1 (largest private television network in Germany), Roberts Radio (rollup of small market radio stations), Crème de la Crème (owner and operator of early childhood learning centers), and Sit-Up (UK interactive home shopping channel) .
AEP Capital is the successor to Alpine Equity Partners. AEP Capital is focused on acquisitions and investments in media entertainment, communications and business services with enterprise values generally ranging up to $250 million located primarily in North America.
AEP Capital remains affiliated with Alpine Capital, led by Oded Aboodi, and has a strategic relationship with Carl Marks, a middle-market firm with practice areas in investment banking, distressed securities, operational consulting, and private equity.
